Geared to experienced film industry professionals, MD is an intensive, project based programme focusing on the marketing and distribution of feature films, with digital media embedded as a cross-cutting theme throughout the course.
About MDMD provides a practical environment for participants to understand, devise and apply to their course projects traditional and digital driven marketing and distribution strategies; understand audiences and consumer behaviour; identify new and niche markets; new business models; and devise market and festival strategies.
Designed with and delivered by leading European and US marketing and distribution professionals from both the independent and studio distribution sector, MD consists of a series of seminars and tutorials/consulting focusing on: feature film new distribution - multi-platform release strategies; developing marketing and distribution plans, positioning and strategy; devising international distribution, festival and markets marketing strategies; publicity and promotions; innovation in digital media; new business models and new markets, and a case study of a recent film demonstrating an innovative marketing strategy.
