Course Programme

To apply to participate in the FBS you must submit a project you have in development and send with your application a preliminary Budget and Finance Plan. This project will be the basis of your work at the FBS as it will be specifically analysed by tutors and other experts to help you in building the most realistic plan to get your project financed.

The course is made up of a number of key elements:

Consulting

ou will receive input and feedback on your project from leading film professionals. You will have the opportunity to have confidential one-to-one consultations with the specialists. At your disposal will be the expertise of senior producers, lawyers, bankers, financiers, sales agents, distributors, and marketing experts whom you will be able to consult on any aspect of the industry and assess the market value of your project.

Training

You will receive training, tailored exclusively to professionals, in the areas of film finance, legal structures and co-production that will give you tips and know-how to help you raise the necessary funds for financing your feature film and increase its international potential. Training will be given in the form of plenary sessions, tutorials, workshops, legal sessions, case studies and role-plays. You will also receive practical and individually tailored training in essential skills such as how to successfully pitch yourself and your project to key persons in the industry.

Networking

The FBS aims to maximise the interaction between a select group of European producers and a team of influential senior industry executives. The FBS will enable you to significantly extend your personal network of professional contacts, opening up the possibilities of co-productions and establishing long-term relationships.

Documentation

You will receive a unique FBS book, which includes a country-by-country summary of co-production opportunities available in most EU countries and the latest information, checklists on principal engagements and agreement deals. Additional handouts also complement many of the FBS seminars.
