As a participant in the TVBS you will be required to apply with a project you have in development and send in a preliminary Budget and Finance Plan along with your application form. This project will be the basis of your work at the TVBS as it will be specifically analysed by tutors and other experts to help you in building the most realistic plan to get your project financed.
The course is made up of a number of key elements:consulting, training and documentation.
Consulting
You will receive direct advice, consultation and feedback on your project from a team of working TV professionals with a proven track record in the industry: senior producers, commissioning editors and acquisition executives, lawyers, bankers, agents and distributors who will help you to formulate a finance plan for your project. You will also have the unique opportunity to have individual one-on-one consultations with real decision-makers to whom you will be able to pitch your project and who will offer continuous feedback.
Training
You will receive intensive training in the fields of finance, development, distribution processes, sales opportunities and legal structures specific to television production. Training will be imparted through both specific and plenary sessions, role plays, tutorials and one-to-one meetings.
