What is the Mediterranean Film Business School

A Unique Springboard for Mediterranean Producers and Their Projects

The Mediterranean Film Business School (MFBS) is a new and innovative training initiative supported by the Euromed Audiovisual II of the EU. The MFBS is aimed at providing Mediterranean producers a unique ground breaking opportunity to access all key knowledge, contacts and tailored advice related to the financing, marketing and distribution of Mediterranean feature films and theatrical documentaries.

MFBS provides cost-free (*) and bilingual (English/French) networking and consultancy aimed at enriching producers' knowledge in the fields of co-producing, financing, marketing and distributing audiovisual works, enabling them to boost the development of their projects.

The MFBS format and goals are based on the internationally renowned FBS (Film Business School), which provides a crucial point of encounter meeting-point for producers wishing to meet key decision-makers and audiovisual industry players.

(*) The organization will cover all expenses related to training fees, flight, accommodation and subsistence for the participants selected

MFBS general and particular objectives

The Mediterranean Film Business School's general objectives are:

•  Enhance knowledge in the financing of Mediterranean feature films and theatrical documentaries
•  Contribute to the co-production of audiovisual works between European and Mediterranean producers
•  Boost the distribution of Mediterranean productions amid Meda (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey) and European countries

Particular objectives:

•  Help Mediterranean producers create a successful financing strategy for their projects
•  Provide Mediterranean producers with the right tools to work in an adequate legal frame
•  Support project development strategies with invaluable know-how in the areas of marketing and distribution
