The Media Business School is part of the Fundación Cultural Media (FCM) that was founded in December of 1990, under the auspices of the MEDIA Programme of the European Community and ICAA of the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
The objective of the FCM is:
The Founding Statutes of the FUNDACIÓN CULTURAL MEDIA are geared to provide audiovisual training that transcends national borders, and are designed to provide European professionals with a distinctly European approach, to operate successfully in a European environment.
The Foundation offers various cycles of seminars and training activities, and publishes reports to enable professionals in the audiovisual sector to take greater advantage of the new opportunities offered by the industry and market. All the integrated activities of the Fundación Cultural Media are organised through the Media Business School (MBS).
The objective of the FCM is:
"To develop training, consulting and research activities for the audiovisual industry at a European level, including their promotion, propagation, encouragement, development, organisation, explanation, execution and application; as well as educational, cultural, scientific or co-operative activities for the development and promotion of research directly or indirectly related thereto, subject to no other limitations than those imposed by law."
